Dr. Pramila Kumari Gachhadar serves in the House of Representatives for Nepali Congress, selected through proportional representation under the Tharu, Female group after Nepal's 2026 general election. Born in an ordinary Tharu family of Sunsari, Pramila Kumari Gachchdar has reached the height of a member of the House of Representatives (MP) by setting a social and political journey spanning two decades. Having served as a member of the Koshi Province Planning Commission, she has now reached the highest level of policy making through the Nepali Congress, which represents women and marginalized communities in particular. Pramila has a very strong and academic background. Born in an educated family, she completed her master's degree in science and sociology. She has a PhD in Botany from Tribhuvan University.
