Also known as: Madan Krishna Shrestha (Nepalese politician)

Madan Krishna Shrestha serves in the House of Representatives for Nepali Congress, selected through proportional representation under the Janajati, Male, Disability group after Nepal's 2026 general election. Shrestha's life was challenging from the beginning. Having lost his father at the age of 6 months, he was diagnosed with polio at the age of 7 months after contracting typhoid, which left him with leg problems. Despite his physical disability, he never lost courage and entered student politics from the age of 13. Shrestha, who has been active in the organization of the Nepali Congress for the past four decades, also experienced prison life during the 2046 mass movement. He has been the treasurer of Bhaktapur Congress for two consecutive terms and has also held the responsibility of regional chairman. After a long wait, he was elected as a central member of the 14th Congress of the Congress, which he considers a major achievement of his political career.
