Gita Kumari Sendang serves in the House of Representatives for Nepali Congress, selected through proportional representation under the Janajati, Female group after Nepal's 2026 general election. Geethakumari Sendang's political journey started from Mehele in Sidingwa Rural Municipality of Taplejung through student politics. She has been a member of the Nepal Student Union since she was studying in class 8. She has worked at various levels of the Nepali Congress for a long time. She is an experienced leader who has also held the responsibility of President of Nepal Women's Association Taplejung and convention representative. Recently, she became a member of the House of Representatives (MP) through the proportional list from the Nepali Congress on the recommendation of Koshi Province.
