Geethakumari Sendang's political journey started from Mehele in Sidingwa Rural Municipality of Taplejung through student politics. She has been a member of the Nepal Student Union since she was studying in class 8. She has worked at various levels of the Nepali Congress for a long time. She is an experienced leader who has also held the responsibility of President of Nepal Women's Association Taplejung and convention representative. Recently, she became a member of the House of Representatives (MP) through the proportional list from the Nepali Congress on the recommendation of Koshi Province.
