She joined the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) in the year 2079 and is currently active as a central member of the same party as well as in the Grievance Hearing Department. Despite being on the proportional list in the 2079 election, she succeeded in being elected as a member of the House of Representatives from the Madhesi women's cluster in her second attempt.
