Sarita Mahato, who became a proportional member of parliament under the Madhesi women's cluster from Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), entered politics suddenly and unexpectedly. Sarita, who had no previous political background was struggling to care for and educate her son. She has now moved forward in parliament to ensure the rights of children with autism, establish inclusive schools in every district and make women empowerment the main agenda. She reached the parliament with the goal of solving the personal pain and social discrimination she experienced at the policy level.
