Summary

Sita Badi is a Nepalese politician and House of Representatives member for Rastriya Swatantra Party, selected from the proportional list under the Dalit, Female group after Nepal's 2026 general election. Sita Badi was born in the year 2052 in the Badi community in Juprakhola, Birendranagar Municipality-11, Surkhet. The Badi community is a highly marginalized Dalit community who are landless and live in makeshift huts on the banks of rivers. Growing up in the midst of poverty, untouchability, social exclusion and humiliation since her childhood, she had to dig sand on the river bank to support her family. She started her formal education at the age of 12 with an opportunity offered by an institution, despite the difficult situation of having to choose between food and studies. She studied from class 4th to 9th at Janasewa Mavi Ghusra and later completed her graduation in social studies and post graduation in political science.
