गंगादेवी श्रेष्ठ नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी (एमाले)बाट समानुपातिकतर्फ प्रतिनिधिसभा सदस्य हुन्। उनको चयन आदिवासी जनजाति, महिला समूहबाट भएको हो। धादिङको नीलकण्ठ–७ की गंगादेवी श्रेष्ठको जीवन कथा एउटा सामान्य परिवारकी महिलाले कसरी दृढ इच्छाशक्ति र धैर्यताका साथ राज्यको सर्वोच्च अंग 'संसद्' सम्मको यात्रा तय गर्न सक्छन् भन्ने ज्वलन्त उदाहरण हो। मध्यमवर्गीय किसान परिवारमा जन्मिएकी श्रेष्ठले करिब साढे तीन दशक लामो राजनीतिक संघर्षपछि हाल प्रतिनिधि सभा सदस्य (सांसद) को जिम्मेवारी सम्हालेकी छिन्। २०४६ सालको जनआन्दोलनबाट प्रेरित भएकी उनले २०४७ सालमा विद्यार्थी राजनीति (अनेरास्ववियु) बाट आफ्नो यात्रा सुरु गरेकी थिइन्। एमालेको वडा कमिटी, गाउँ कमिटी हुँदै जिल्ला कमिटीको महत्वपूर्ण जिम्मेवारी सम्हालेकी उनले समाजमा व्याप्त विभेद र पछौटेपन विरुद्ध आवाज उठाउँदै आफूलाई एक स्थापित नेताका रूपमा उभ्याइन्।
