Afsana Banu serves in the House of Representatives for Rastriya Swatantra Party, selected through proportional representation under the Muslim, Female group after Nepal's 2026 general election. Afsana Banu is a 31-year-old social and political activist from Kathmandu. For years, she has been raising her voice on national interests, youth issues and community issues through street protests. Elected as an MP from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) through the proportional election system, she has expressed her commitment to make herself the voice of not only her community but the entire country. He plans to take the issues raised by Genji youths to the parliament and emphasize on women's empowerment. He is one of the MPs representing the Muslim community.
