Jogkumar Barbariya Yadav is a Nepalese politician and House of Representatives member for Nepali Communist Party, selected from the proportional list under the Madheshi, Male group after Nepal's 2026 general election. 61-year-old Jogkumar Barbaria Yadav of Dhanush has recently entered the House of Representatives as a proportional member of parliament from the Nepali Communist Party. Yadav, who was involved in communist politics from the young age of 13 was an active participant in the armed 'People's War' through 'Moto Masal'. He is particularly known as an influential commander and 'commissar' of the Janmukti Sena who established the Maoist movement in Madhesh. Known as 'Jeevan' and 'Shravan', he held the command of districts like Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sirha and Udaipur during the war. When an armed war in Madhesh was considered impossible, under his leadership Maoist influence was expanded by attacking places like Jaleshwar and Bandipur.
