Ganesh Bahadur Bishwakarma serves in the House of Representatives for Nepali Communist Party, selected through proportional representation under the Dalit, Male group after Nepal's 2026 general election. 55-year-old Vishwakarma has been active in political movements, human rights and Dalit awakening campaigns for a long time. He has recently been recommended by the Nepali Communist Party as a proportional member of parliament from the Dalit cluster, so his parliamentary journey has been decided. It started as a student organization in 2045. Born in a remote and poor Dalit family in Bajhang, he worked as a founding member of the Communist movement. He held various responsibilities in the then CPN (Malay) and later CPN (UML). After the split of the UML, he became a member of the politburo and central secretary of the United Socialist Party, and currently he is working as a central member of the CPN led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda".
