Alija Gurung serves in the House of Representatives for Rastriya Swatantra Party, selected through proportional representation under the Janajati, Female group after Nepal's 2026 general election. Alija Gurung was born in Kerouja village of Dharche-2, a difficult area of North Gorkha. Growing up in the difficult terrain of the Himalayan region, she passed secondary level from local Kerouja Secondary School and Plus Two from Thojo Campus in Manang. After returning to her village after the 2072 earthquake, Eliza Care started working as a social mobilizer in Nepal. She was active in activities such as distribution of relief, conducting awareness programs, distribution of blankets and solar equipment in earthquake affected areas and played the role of social mobilizer for four years in organizations such as Methodology Development Service Center and Integration Nepal. In 2019, she won the title of 'Miss Tribal Tribe' organized by SK Entertainment and gained national attention.
