गौरी कुमारी राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टीबाट महोत्तरी-४ का प्रतिनिधिसभा सदस्य हुन्। उनी २०८२ को निर्वाचनमा प्रत्यक्ष निर्वाचित भएका हुन्। महोत्तरी जिल्लाको साम्सी गाउँपालिका–संग्रामपुरकी स्थायी बासिन्दा ५४ वर्षीया गौरीकुमारी यादव एक शिक्षित र सामाजिक चेतना भएकी व्यक्तित्व हुनुहुन्छ। राम एकवाल राय यादवकी छोरी तथा शिवजी यादवकी श्रीमती उहाँको जन्म र हुर्काइ महोत्तरीमै भएको हो। शैक्षिक योग्यताका हिसाबले उहाँले विज्ञान संकायमा प्रमाण–पत्र तह सम्मको अध्ययन पूरा गर्नुभएको छ। स्थानीय भूगोल र मधेसको सामाजिक संरचनासँग गहिरो सामीप्यता रहेकाले उहाँलाई क्षेत्रीय मुद्दाहरूको सूक्ष्म ज्ञान रहेको छ।
