Kavre, a simple housewife who has been running a small grocery shop in Teku, Kathmandu for 21 years, has today become a member of the House of Representatives (MP) from the National Independent Party (RASWPA). This journey is not the result of any political ambition or plan, but a street struggle for justice for his 23-year-old son 'Rasik' who was killed in the agitation. His son's search for compassion and subsequent justice has taken him from the shop counter to the country's highest policy-making level (Sadan).
