Profile
Rachana Khatiwada Khatri serves in the House of Representatives for Rastriya Swatantra Party, selected through proportional representation under the Khas Arya, Female group after Nepal's 2026 general election. The 'Gen-Z' movement brought an unexpected and poignant turn in Rachna Khatiwada's life. Kavre, a simple housewife who has been running a small grocery shop in Teku, Kathmandu for 21 years, has today become a member of the House of Representatives (MP) from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA). This journey is not the result of any political ambition or plan, but a street struggle for justice for his 23-year-old son 'Rasik' who was killed in the agitation. His son's search for compassion and subsequent justice has taken him from the shop counter to the country's highest policy-making level (Sadan).
