Summary

Prakash Chandra Darji is a Nepalese politician and House of Representatives member for Rastriya Swatantra Party, selected from the proportional list under the Dalit, Male group after Nepal's 2026 general election. Prakashchandra was born on 5th October 2033 in Ainselukhark, Khotang. Within a few years of his birth, the family moved to Itahari. His grandfather was a social worker, skilled in sewing-weaving and playing instruments, while his father Lal Bahadur Pariyar also worked as a tailor and served in the Dalit community. Due to untouchability and discrimination against Dalits during his childhood, he had to go through very painful incidents — being kept apart in pujas, weddings, going to friends' houses and insulting him deeply hurt his self-esteem. In the year 2045, when his house caught fire, he saw his books and bag burnt and tried to enter the fire. In the same year, he was forced to bear a great family loss with the death of his mother and infant sister. He excelled in school attendance answer and elocution and passed SLC 2050 and passed IA and BA from Mahendra Multipurpose Campus in Dharan. After BA, he came to Kathmandu and did his Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism. He was instrumental in establishing Tarhra Public Library in Itahari.
